Chevron and the Ariat Texas Rattlers present an outstanding evening of bull riding and entertainment at Ector County Coliseum. The 2023 PBR Team Series Champion Texas Rattlers will form two teams in this special competition format, competing against a third team of riders selected from the Odessa College Rodeo Wranglers. Across two games, one team will emerge victorious and earn the coveted PBR Chevron Showdown belt buckles.

The event, made possible by Chevron, will benefit the Permian Basin community in multiple ways. First, the event will bring many of the best bull riders in the world to the Coliseum. Second, 100% of the ticket price (less fees) will be donated by Chevron and the Rattlers to the Odessa College Rodeo Team. Third, for every 8-second qualified ride, Chevron will donate $800 to a deserving local charity. Chevron will continue this "$800-for-8" program throughout the 2024 PBR Camping World Team Series regular season for every Texas Rattler ride. The full program is expected to generate more than $50,000 in donations by Chevron to the Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center Hippotherapy Program, FFA programs in MISD and ECISD, and the Reeves County Junior Livestock Show.

The PBR Chevron Showdown bull riding will be immediately followed by live entertainment from the Stateline Band, provided to all ticket holders.

The PBR Camping World Team Series’ 13-event 2024 regular season begins this July. The Texas Rattlers 2024 homestand is scheduled for September 26-28, 2024, at Cowtown Coliseum and Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

The Rattlers are Texas' first-ever professional bull riding team, competing in the PBR Camping World Team Series, which transforms bull riding from an individual to team-formatted competition. In 2023, the Rattlers etched their name in the league history books, as the league’s second Championship-winning team.
